Position: Lead Production Chef (temp-to-perm. contract)
Operation: 7-day food production (new arm of award winning event business)
Location: South London
Start rate: £13.00 to £15.00 phr
Working Hrs: 16:00 to 21:00 Hrs (5 hr shift / 5 – 6 days)

Exclusive independent Event catering company with established portfolio of International blue-chip corporate, boutique and UHNW clients now expanding into contract catering. Reputed for its highly-personalised / tailored event catering services & inspiring, innovative food design approach (finest UK and International produce sourced).
Now working in partnership with global restaurant group to deliver on new food production account. Offering: fresh, authentic, seasonal healthy / tasty Japanese-Asian – rotating range of chef specials, ramen, donburi, curry, wrap, soup and salad dishes including vegan / gluten-free options.
Central London based offices with large production kitchen operation. New £0.5 m account with aim to grow food production business accordingly.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Assisted by one other chef, responsible for the smooth daily food production for this specific account, preparing a wide product selection to the freshest, highest quality levels
Working to set recipe specification (seasonal product rotation)
Stock management: ordering, supplier relations, inventory / wastage control, invoices, stock audits, maintaining food cost target
Kitchen compliance records (procedures), maintenance of kitchen & equipment, EHO relations
Kitchen admin and reporting, budgeting, logistics, meetings

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
This role would suit a confident Chef with a background in contract catering and / or fresh food production.
A chef with great energy levels and attention to detail; a methodical approach with the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively; good team / work ethic and communication skills.

SALARY & BENEFITS
Start rate: £13.00 to £15.00 phr
Temporary to Permanent contract
Perm. contract subject to standard 3 months probationary period; offering courses as required; workplace pension option; 28 days paid annual leave; staff discounts; Supplier FAM trips; laundered uniform; meals on duty
Approx. 25 to 30 hrs pwk / 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (5 to 6 x 5 hr shifts)
March start available / able to accommodate notice
