ROLE DESCRIPTION
Working closely with the Executive Head chef and with the support of a passionate, stable team; key responsibilities as follows:
Based 5 days in the central production kitchen – prepping with premium ingredients for day and evening events (HNW clientele / private residences & exclusive venues incl. palaces)
Supporting the Executive Head chef in menu development (designing all pastry menus) and daily kitchen management; product sourcing & supplier relations; stock management; team direction and training; tastings; client meetings; budgeting & cost control; kitchen admin; hygiene and compliance
Event planning, logistics, cooking / execution (customer facing)

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Senior Pastry chef experience gained within a comparable (exclusive) Events catering or Food production business with experience gained in high end banqueting, 5* hotels and / or michelin-starred kitchens also considered.
Essential: highly self-motivated with innovative-creative approach to menu design; wide knowledge of current and breaking food trends; attention to detail; strong technical expertise and precision.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Start package: £40,000 to £45,000 pa
Total of £35,000 basic salary & paid overtime estimated at £7,000 to £8,000+ (paid monthly) & bonus
5 Days in the CPU (48 hrs pwk) plus evening and weekend venue-event work as paid overtime (business-dependent)
Permanent full time contract subject to standard six-month probationary period
